Staying local: Shital and Rikesh’s forever home at Dunhelen

Dunhelen at Greenvale is already striking a chord with locals who want to upgrade without leaving their much-loved suburb – and for long-time Greenvale resident Shital Chandra, it was the perfect fit.

“I was following the development from when the site was sold, and called Jinding to ensure I was on the database. I’d been looking to upgrade for a while, and I didn’t want to move out of the area – it is so nice and quiet, great neighbours and close to the city where I work. Greenvale is really central to shops, the airport and so easy to get onto the freeway. I think a lot of people feel like I do about Greenvale – it is hard to leave,” she said.

Shital and her husband Rikesh have secured land opposite Dunhelen’s historic homestead, which will be surrounded by landscaped parkland. For their three-generation household, they’re planning a spacious double-storey home with an atrium to draw in light.

What stood out most for Shital was Dunhelen’s focus on greenery and design: “Greenvale is leafy and I’m happy Dunhelen continues this. The design guidelines for front yards have a big focus on plants, so it will mean the streets look beautiful. That lots of trees will be retained is really important to me as a local resident.”

“This is the forever home,” Shital said.
