A new beginning for Sharah and John at Dunhelen

For Sharah Mae Sarmiento, family was the deciding factor in buying her first home.

When Jinding launched Dunhelen at Greenvale, she and her partner John thought it wasn’t possible – they were saving for their wedding and exploring other options. But after attending a sales event, they discovered not only was Dunhelen within reach, it was right beside her sister’s home.

“Dunhelen is comparable pricewise to other developments, so we purchased a corner lot and I’ll be so close to my family!” she said.

It’s a true family affair – Sharah and John are currently living with another sister in Mickleham, who also plans to buy in Dunhelen, meaning all three siblings will be neighbours.

Originally from the Philippines, the couple has been in Australia three years and are now preparing to build their dream home. For Sharah, a medical scientist at Sunshine Hospital, the shorter commute and access to established Greenvale amenities sealed the deal.

“One of the reasons we bought here – apart from being close to family – is to be closer to my work at Sunshine Hospital. I can save 20 minutes a day on my commute, which is fantastic,” she said.
